About Renegade Rides

Riding with Renegade Rides is about fine horses, their powerful strides, and their thundering hoofbeats, carrying you up, through the sagebrush, breezing by scrub cedar trees, eating dust from your riding companions (unless you riding in front). You see an eagle circling above, deer and antelope running down the gaping draws. You rein in at the top of a hill that turns out to be the rocky edge of a place that takes your breath away. The giant red cliffs in the distance stand in spectacular relief, against the towering Big Horn Mountains beyond.

You marvel at how surefooted your horse is. He cuts up through the sage and prickly-pear cactus like butter. It is easy to imagine how it must have been a hundred or more years ago. The land is little changed. The views are different in every direction. You can see mountains a hundred miles away, beneath deep blue skies that are so clear, it looks like you could reach out and touch them. Buffalo trails and buffalo wallows are everywhere, reminders of the not too distant past, when this land was black with bison herds that numbered in the thousands. You can see for miles and miles and not see a town or city. The vast, rugged, open land, seen from horseback creates feelings of freedom and exuberance that will stir your primal soul.
